Daegu Stadium
The Daegu Stadium is the largest stadium in Korea and was completed in 2001, in time to host the 2002 FIFA World Cup and the 2003 Summer Universiade. Among the facilities, the stadium boasts two large electronic scoreboards and Teflon-coated roofs that cover at least 70 percent of the stadium, which allow for natural sunlight as well as protect the spectators from the natural elements.

The stadium is equipped with state-of-the-art technical facilities and has an IAAF-Certified Class 1 track surface. The track will be resurfaced with Mondo products. Further improvements are in the works to satisfy even the most demanding expectations from the IAAF and the thousands of athletics enthusiasts.

We are ready and look forward to the challenge of hosting nine spectacular days of exceptional athletics performances.
